The Ramirez Family Trade
Two generations of commercial window treatment work, built on job sites across Texas and carried into Oklahoma one general contractor at a time.
How it started
Mr. Ramirez started hanging blinds on commercial jobs in San Antonio and kept doing it for decades. He never had a showroom and never wanted one. What he had was a reputation with superintendents: if Ramirez said the third floor would be done Thursday, the third floor was done Thursday.
That reputation is what grew the company. One general contractor recommended him to another, a project manager who moved firms brought him along, and jobs followed the relationships up I-35 to Austin, north to Waco and Dallas–Fort Worth, and eventually across the Red River into Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Not a marketing plan — just work that kept getting called back.
Who runs it now
Today his daughters run Ramirez Commercial Blinds. They grew up around the trade — around window schedules on the kitchen table, around the phone calls when a schedule moved, around the standard their father held every crew to. Running the company as a women-led business has not changed how the work gets done; it has changed how much of it the company can take on, with better systems for bidding, submittals, crew management and closeout.
The company remains commercial-only and installation-focused. We do not sell to homeowners and we do not chase design work. We put crews on new construction and finish buildings.
What we stand on
Three rules, inherited and unchanged: show up on the day you said you would, finish the scope completely instead of leaving a punch list for somebody else, and stand behind the work after the building turns over. Everything else — the submittals, the insurance certificates, the crew scheduling — exists to make those three possible at scale.
Our values
- Show up — committed dates are commitments, not estimates
- Finish — the scope is done when the punch list is clear
- Stand behind the work — we answer the call after closeout
- Family-owned and women-led since the second generation
- Commercial new construction only, never residential retail
- Managed crews under our own supervision and standard
If you are a general contractor or dealer, our scope, submittal and insurance details are here. If you install, we are hiring crews.
